Victoria is a 71m superyacht finished at AES Yachts in Turkey. The exterior was designed by Steve Gresham for H2 Design, and the interior was by H2 Design. MY Victoria is the sistership to 82m MY Graceful, which was also penned by Steve Gresham for H2 Design and launched by Blohm+Voss in 2014.
The project started in 2004 but it wasn't until 2006 that construction began at Sevmash Shipyard in northern Russia. Principal designer and founder of Gresham Yacht Design, Steve Gresham travelled many times to Archangel and St Petersburg working with local naval architects Agat Design Bureau. However, the project was delayed in order to deliver M/Y Graceful and in 2015 the owner asked Gresham to finish the design of his exterior and the vessel was transported to Italy and then to AES Yachts in Turkey, where she was completed.
Victoria features a considered layout that makes the most of the interior space. This is most evident when looking at the engine room, which was carefully developed to maximise the interior space. Working closely with Agat Design Bureau, glass manufacturer Yachtglass and door specialist RM Nautical, Gresham was able to develop his ideas and achieve full-height windows that cantilever outwards together with full-height conical doors on the main deck and upper deck, both adding interest and style to the superstructure.
