Apollo

Apollo is a powerful explorer superyacht. The 90-metre vessel offers a modern, masculine exterior that has been developed to provide its owner and guests with breathtaking views while voyaging through the most remote locations in the world.

The project began following an enquiry from a brokerage house looking to develop an alternative version of the 100-metre Thor Explore concept. Apollo was the result with a striking exterior that offers robust protection for the elegant and sophisticated interior, which spans seven decks. From the transom, the eye is led up the stepped decks to the jewel of the superyacht, which is the central viewing platform amidship.

Large dominating windows that protrude outward provide the full beam observation lounge with unique views out to sea. On the deck below, semi-enclosed balconies — with glass balustrades — ensure uninterrupted views from the main saloon.

Aft of the main saloon is the winter garden with access to a six-metre pool, enclosed with seating. The winter garden is an ideal space in which to feel part of your surroundings while remaining within a controlled environment thanks to floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Forward on the owner’s deck is the owner’s suite, complete with His and Hers bathrooms, a central private lobby, dressing rooms and owner’s office. Forward of the suite is the owner’s private deck, which is accessed directly from the master suite and includes a Jacuzzi and various seating arrangements.

The bridge deck offers a walk around promenade for superior views for navigation and sightseeing, with seating around a firepit aft. Meanwhile a couple levels below on the upper deck, are where sleek and robust lifeboats are housed, underneath the main saloon balconies. Forward on this deck is the sea lounge with a viewing deck forward on the bow, while a guest galley and dining area are located behind it. A pair of VIP suites are located amidships, with an impressive glass-floor expedition briefing pod located aft of the main deck. Inspired by Thor Explore’s futuristic tender garage, Apollo’s expedition briefing pod is the mission control centre for all expeditions with views over the tender hangar below and direct access to the certified helideck aft.

Below the helideck is the helicopter hangar, which sits on the main deck. This level is also home to a dive centre with a recompression chamber, the impressive tender hangar and accommodation for guests. Apollo has an impressive 17-metre beam and can accommodate up to 16 guests and 40 crew. Other features of Apollo include a large walk around sundeck, spa facilities on the lower deck, a cinema and the latest technology for the exploration of nature above and below the waterline.
